Since 2000, Micah Henrie has spent countless hours in front of a computer screen as a Computer Graphics Artist, crafting digital worlds for beloved films including The Chronicles of Narnia, The Ring 2, and Charlotte's Web. His true artistic home became LAIKA, the renowned stop-motion animation studio, where he's contributed to all five of their groundbreaking films to date—from the hauntingly beautiful Coraline to the zombie-comedy ParaNorman, and continuing through to the upcoming Wildwood (Pictured above on set with a Golden Globe for Kubo and the Two Strings). All of these films have earned Academy Award® nominations for Outstanding Animated Feature, along with countless other prestigious accolades.

But the long hours at his desk led to wrist pain, stiffness, and a growing frustration with synthetic, ugly ergonomics. As a technical artist, Micah realized something simple yet profound: if we spend countless hours at our desks, why not make them places of comfort and beauty?

Frustrated with foam wrist rests that quickly became gross and unsightly, he turned to his lifelong passion for woodworking and craftsmanship—skills passed down from his cabinet maker father. Drawing on generations of woodworking knowledge, Micah began designing wrist rests using natural cork, a material he immediately fell in love with for its warmth, durability, sustainability, and naturally antimicrobial properties. The result was a product that wasn't just functional but a natural extension of the desk itself—beautiful, ergonomic, and built to last.
